1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- •Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number
- •Vehicle Information: Year, make, model, damage descriptions, and — only if you choose to type it or scan it with your camera — your vehicle's VIN (see VIN Scanner & Camera Access below)
- •Insurance Information: Insurance company name, claim numbers (when provided)
- •Photos: Vehicle damage photos uploaded through our estimate form
- •Communication Records: Messages, inquiries, and correspondence
VIN Scanner & Camera Access
The estimate form includes an optional VIN field. Entering a VIN is never required — you can leave it blank, type it by hand, or scan it with your camera. A VIN identifies a vehicle, not a person, but because it is unique to your car we treat it as part of your estimate request.
Camera access. If you tap “Scan,” your browser will ask permission to use your camera. We request camera access only at that moment, only while the scanner is open, and the camera turns off as soon as you close it or a VIN is read. Declining camera access does not affect the rest of the form — you can always type the VIN instead.
How scanning works. While the scanner is open, still frames from the camera are sent automatically to our server and forwarded to Google Cloud Vision, a text-recognition service, solely to read the VIN characters. Frames are processed in memory and discarded immediately; we do not save, review, or otherwise use them, and they are not sent to any other party. Where your browser supports it, the door-sticker barcode is also read directly on your device without leaving it. No photos, video, or audio are recorded.
Vehicle look-up. When a full VIN is entered or scanned, your browser sends it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's free public vPIC database to fill in the year, make, and model. Only the VIN is sent — nothing else from the form — though, as with any web request, NHTSA receives standard technical data such as your IP address.
What we keep. The VIN is included in the estimate request delivered to our shop and is retained with that request as described in the Data Retention section. Our analytics record only that the scanner was opened or a VIN was decoded, never the VIN itself.

BodyShopLeads (Website Provider)
BodyShopLeads (SM ETE LLC), our website and marketing provider, has limited access to form submission lead data for lead delivery purposes. This data is automatically purged every 15 days.
Insurance Companies
We share relevant information with your insurance company to process claims.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

Google Analytics — Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. It collects pages visited, time on site, geographic location (city/state level), device type, browser, and traffic sources. Data is processed by Google LLC.

Google Search Console — Search Analytics
We use Google Search Console to monitor our website's search performance and identify technical issues. This tool does not collect personal information directly from visitors.
Vercel Analytics — Analytics
Our website is hosted on Vercel, which provides privacy-friendly aggregate analytics (page views, performance metrics). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information.

We use Google Ads Conversion Tracking to measure when visitors complete actions on our website (such as submitting a contact form) after clicking one of our ads. This uses cookies to associate user activity with ad clicks.
Resend — Email Delivery
We use Resend to deliver email communications including estimates, appointment confirmations, and service updates. These services process your email address and message content solely to deliver communications. Form submissions processed through these services are accessible to BodyShopLeads (our website provider) for lead delivery purposes and are automatically purged every 15 days.

CallRail — Call Tracking & Recording
We use CallRail to measure which advertising brings us phone calls. The phone number shown on our website may be a tracking number that forwards to our shop. When you call, CallRail logs the call (your phone number, call time, duration, and the marketing source), and calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes. Where recording is active, you will hear a disclosure at the start of the call; if you do not wish to be recorded, tell the person answering and the recording will be stopped, or contact us by email or text instead.

Elfsight — Reviews Widget
Our customer reviews are displayed through an Elfsight widget that loads content from Elfsight's servers and shows public Google reviews. The widget may process your IP address to deliver its content; it does not receive information you enter on this site.
Google Cloud Vision — Optional VIN Scanner
Powers the optional VIN scanner in our estimate form. If you choose to use it, camera frames are sent to Google solely to read the VIN characters from the image; they are processed transiently, not stored by us, and not used for any other purpose. See VIN Scanner & Camera Access in Section 1.
NHTSA vPIC — Vehicle Lookup
When you enter or scan a VIN in the estimate form, your browser sends it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's free public vPIC database to fill in your vehicle's year, make, and model. Nothing else from the form is sent with it.
Mapbox & Cloudinary — Maps and Images
Our location map is served by Mapbox and our photos by Cloudinary. Like any content delivery service, they receive your IP address and browser information when loading map tiles and images. Neither receives information you enter on this site.
